Students Lament Hike In 'As E Dey Hot' Snack Varieties

The vendors of 'As E dey hot' snacks, situated beside the Univerity Health Center of the Obafemi Awolowo University, have increased the prices of its varieties of snacks. The increase in the snacks's payment took effect as of Monday, November 13th. 'As E dey Hot' is famously known for its hot snacks; puff-puff, egg-buns, buns, risky, etc.

OAU Kilonshele Reporter gathered that the snacks have increased from their initial price 
Buns and Puff: ₦80 each, ₦150 for 2
Doughnuts: ₦200 each
Eggbuns: ₦300 each.

Meanwhile, before the increase, the amounts of varieties of snacks were;
Buns and Puff: ₦50 each
Doughnuts: ₦150 each
Eggbuns: ₦250 each

This development has sparked reactions among students, with many expressing their concerns about the sudden increase in snack prices. 

A Part 3 student of Computer Science and Engineering, AbdMalik described the recent hike as insensitive, while he compared it to the plight being faced by students on campus.
"The recent increase in the price of 'As E Dey Hot' is insensitive during this period of hike in school fees and increase in foodstuff prices. When I was in Part 1, buns were sold for #20 each and now it's being sold for #80 each. They should be eating their buns and puff-puff themselves." AbdMalik said.

Speaking with OAU Kilonshele, one of the workers, Caleb Abiodun stated that the increase in the cost of raw materials for the production of the snacks led to the increase in price of the snacks. He therefore urges students to endure with the management of 'As E dey Hot' and adhere to the new prices.

OAU RELEASES FINAL LIST FOR 2017/2018 ADMISSIONS.

Friday, 12th January, 2018. By Olufemi Alfred .O.     In lieu of a recent publication by OAU KILONSHELE about the release of admissions list despite the strike, it has been gathered that Obafemi Awolowo University has submitted the final lists of admitted candidates to the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) on the 10th of January.     However, JAMB has began the uploading of the names on the Caps  section of the website as about 20 students have been confirmed by OAU KILONSHELE  to have been admitted      All candidates (Direct Entry and JAMB applicants)  , awaiting their names should log on to the JAMB website and check if they have been admitted.

OAU ADMISSIONS MERIT LIST UPLOADED ON JAMB WEBSITE.

      Few days ago, OAU KILONSHELE posted the release of Obafemi Awolowo University merit list for 2017/2018 admissions, it has been confirmed that some of the aspirants have seen their names on  JAMB's website.       Admission status can be viewed on the CAPS section of the website.           Below are the step by step procedures to access JAMB CAPS 1. Visit jamb.org.ng/efacility  preferably using a PC or chrome browser on mobile. 2. Login with the credentials( email and password) you created your jamb account with. 3. After successfully logging in, click on the options button ( the button with 3 dash) at the top of the page. 4. You'll see CAPS under the tag 'Admissions'. Click on it and you'll be taken to the CAPS page. 5. If the page only shows 'welcome', do not be discouraged. Just click on options on your mobile's browser and change the view of the page to 'desktop view'. This is why it's preferable to use a PC. 6.
