EFCC Invasion: SU or University Management, Who should be accorded flowers?

On the EFCC Invasion Saga, Adeniran Tolulope writes;

As I walked into the Students' Union Building on Thursday morning, I overheard a popular slang in OAU, from a lady precisely, which is always used to commend the activity of a particular leader in the Students' Union; 'God Bless The Leader.' It's definitely because of the intervention made by the Students' Union Leaders when the 69 members of the Union were arrested 'unjustly,' as tagged by many.

Then, confusion settled into my mind when I remembered the press release of the school management, where it was said that the management of Obafemi Awolowo University sent delegates to the EFCC Office in Iyangaku, Ibadan. Within a short period, the snow of confusion melted in my mind then settled and began to soften my mind with a belief that the management showed the characteristics of responsible parents.

Meanwhile, earlier, the University Management was accused of being mute by critics on social media. Several students appear ignorant of the situation, while some others look unconcerned. The unconcerned ones are the ones who, in their minds, think their academics will be affected if any of the Students' Union goes into protest; the ones that are only concerned with their academics. Found on them were indeed the attributes of readers that become leaders.

As soon as I stopped pondering in my heart, the lady passed by at the basement passage of the Students' Union Building, then turned into a lady who has always shown a nonchalant attitude towards every Union's Activities; part of the unconcerned ones. Immediately I remembered a leader once said they were voted into office by female students. Capacity Leader indeed.

The question is 'Whose intervention led to the release?' because it looks so unconfidential that the management of the university made it.

We vividly saw how swift the action of Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State was. Little did we know the same Governor could have hated an unjust situation. In the end, we were joyous at the one-by-one release of 58 out of 69 Students arrested. The remaining will be tried as said by EFCC.

Afterward, students saw the effect of collaborating to form a union of intellectuals who could fight a war with oppressors. Meanwhile, the same sets of aforementioned unconcerned students were the people who later reacted to the release of 58 students saying 'There is only one Great IFE in the Universe'.

Hearing EFCC banned night raids will be recorded in the history as the result of an intervention, but, whose intervention? Who should be praised for the release of the 58 students? The moment ended when my conscience was asking me a simple question which I will ask you now that says, will you be a student who joins in calling for change, or be an unconcerned student?
