Chairman, Guild of Editors grace event, as Public Voice inducts New Members.

Public Voice News Agency, on Wednesday, November 28th, held her induction ceremony to welcome its new members. The event commenced with Miss Nelly Obianuju the Deputy EIC of the Agency hosting and Miss Mould Precious the Assistant General Secretary leading an opening prayer, setting a tone of reverence for the proceedings which began with singing the national anthem and the school anthem.

Present at the event was the Chairman of the Guild of Editors, Adesina Ayomide, and Editor in Chief of Public Voice, Emmanuel Aluko. The inductees include Adeoye Pelumi, Oluwatomisin Damilola, and Olalekan Oluwatofunmi, among others.


While speaking, the Chairman of the Guild of Editors, ACJOAU, Adesina Ayomide imparted valuable guidance, advocating for ethical journalism and the separation of journalism from political affiliations. He encouraged continual self-improvement and announced an upcoming meet-and-greet session by the mother body, ACJ OAU.

Aside from formalities, the event included icebreaking activities, engaging the attendees with tongue twisters and riddles, and fostering an atmosphere of camaraderie. Oreoluwa, Pelumi, and Teniola emerged as winners of the session.

Amidst the congenial ambiance, Deputy Editor-in-chief  Nelly Obianuju extended a gracious welcome to the inductees. She expressed gratitude for the collective teamwork that shapes the agency's narrative, underscoring its paramount importance.

Also, the Editor-in-chief of Public Voice News Agency while speaking, Aluko Emmanuel emphasized on taking Journalism as service to humanity. The new members therefore pledged their commitment to uphold the agency's values and responsibilities.

Also, there was a question and answer session which served as an opportunity for the inductees to seek clarification and gain insight into their roles within the agency.

OAU RELEASES FINAL LIST FOR 2017/2018 ADMISSIONS.

Friday, 12th January, 2018. By Olufemi Alfred .O.     In lieu of a recent publication by OAU KILONSHELE about the release of admissions list despite the strike, it has been gathered that Obafemi Awolowo University has submitted the final lists of admitted candidates to the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) on the 10th of January.     However, JAMB has began the uploading of the names on the Caps  section of the website as about 20 students have been confirmed by OAU KILONSHELE  to have been admitted      All candidates (Direct Entry and JAMB applicants)  , awaiting their names should log on to the JAMB website and check if they have been admitted.

OAU ADMISSIONS MERIT LIST UPLOADED ON JAMB WEBSITE.

      Few days ago, OAU KILONSHELE posted the release of Obafemi Awolowo University merit list for 2017/2018 admissions, it has been confirmed that some of the aspirants have seen their names on  JAMB's website.       Admission status can be viewed on the CAPS section of the website.           Below are the step by step procedures to access JAMB CAPS 1. Visit jamb.org.ng/efacility  preferably using a PC or chrome browser on mobile. 2. Login with the credentials( email and password) you created your jamb account with. 3. After successfully logging in, click on the options button ( the button with 3 dash) at the top of the page. 4. You'll see CAPS under the tag 'Admissions'. Click on it and you'll be taken to the CAPS page. 5. If the page only shows 'welcome', do not be discouraged. Just click on options on your mobile's browser and change the view of the page to 'desktop view'. This is why it's preferable to use a PC. 6.
