Similoluwa Okunowo and Sanni Mariam Triumph as Best Graduating Engineering Students

In a dazzling showcase of academic prowess and achievement, the Faculty of Technology at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) witnessed a momentous event on Wednesday, 5th December at Oduduwa Hall. Okunowo Similoluwa, a standout from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering department, emerged as the Best Graduating Engineering Student during the induction of the 2021/22 Faculty of Technology graduates into the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), Ife Chapter.

Adding a remarkable chapter to the celebration, Sanni Mariam, who graduated from the Department of Chemical Engineering, emerges the Female Best Engineering Graduating Student. 

Mariam further etched her name in the annals of achievement by winning the prestigious Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN)/Lexican Prize Award for the Best Graduating Female in the Faculty of Technology for the 2021/22 session.

While the NSE Graduate Induction ceremony served as a medium to honor, it is also to recognize the exceptional talents within OAU's engineering ranks.

Many colleagues have testify that Similoluwa Okunowo and Sanni Mariam's stellar performances not only reflect their dedication and hard work but also set an inspiring standard for aspiring engineers within the university community.

Recall, it was earlier reported that Similoluwa Emerges the Best Overall Graduating Student with a CGPA of 4.93.  Additionally, Sanni Mariam, who was named the Best Graduating Female Engineering Student in the induction of Engineering Students, in Wednesday graduated with a CGPA of 4.71.
