Isco Sports World Unveils GIFL's Cup, Groups Departments

The Organizers of the Great Ife Sports League, ISCO Sport World has on Saturday, officially unveiled the League's Cup. The GIFL competition, as stated by the chairman of Isco Sports World is expected to start by December 7th or 8th.

Present at the event are the chairman of the GIFL, Faleti Ayotunde, a technical team member, Adurosakin Oluwasegun, and Football players representing each department present in the Great Ife Football League

While speaking, the chairman of the Great Ife Football League Committee, Faleti Ayotunde, encouraged the players to ensure their complaints are given to the organizers of the league when they're having issues with any of the officials. He therefore encourages the players to make sure they do nothing that tarnishes the image of the GIFL.

Speaking also, the organizer of the league, Isco Sports World, through its chairman, Olalekan Adewumi, noted that the league was organized to improve and promote the football culture of Obafemi Awolowo University. He also encouraged the players present to use their football skills to improve the football culture of the University and to shun violence that can lead to tarnish of the Great Ife Football Leagues' image.

According to him, at the end of the league tournament, there will be awards for the winners of some categories, and the winning team will take the league cup. Other awards go to the Best Keeper of the League, and Best Goalscorer of the League, among others.

Man of the Match will be sponsored by the Major Sponsor of the league, Dunamis Autos. 'As there will be a massive budget for 22 players of each team, Each team will be rewarded a MOTM jersey only once i.e once a department is given a MOTM jersey winner, the next time, only a certificate will be awarded.' Olalekan said.  Dunamis Autos will be awarding each of the Man of the Match sports jerseys. Olalekan explained that there would be 24 winners of the Man of the Match title. at the end of the league, and each of them would be from each of the Departmental teams.

A technical team member and an official of the league, Coach Segun further emphasized that the players should take the league seriously and ensure the image of the league is not tarnished by the behaviors of any of the players.

Another notable member of the committee of GIFL organizers, Fesomade Alli, also highlighted the importance of the media and the role played by the Media in sporting activities.


While giving the important rules of the league, discipline, as noted by the CEO of Isco Sports World, will be taken important. He said, 'Any indiscipline will attract fines, any f-word said to the opposing players will attract punishment as well'. He explained further that there will be a First Aid for the league throughout the competition where players will get their treatment when injured during a match.

Isco Sports World therefore unveiled Man of the Match Jersey which is sponsored by Dunamis Autos.
           
Meanwhile, the registered departments were grouped into 6 groups, each group containing four departments.

OAU RELEASES FINAL LIST FOR 2017/2018 ADMISSIONS.

Friday, 12th January, 2018. By Olufemi Alfred .O.     In lieu of a recent publication by OAU KILONSHELE about the release of admissions list despite the strike, it has been gathered that Obafemi Awolowo University has submitted the final lists of admitted candidates to the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) on the 10th of January.     However, JAMB has began the uploading of the names on the Caps  section of the website as about 20 students have been confirmed by OAU KILONSHELE  to have been admitted      All candidates (Direct Entry and JAMB applicants)  , awaiting their names should log on to the JAMB website and check if they have been admitted.

OAU ADMISSIONS MERIT LIST UPLOADED ON JAMB WEBSITE.

      Few days ago, OAU KILONSHELE posted the release of Obafemi Awolowo University merit list for 2017/2018 admissions, it has been confirmed that some of the aspirants have seen their names on  JAMB's website.       Admission status can be viewed on the CAPS section of the website.           Below are the step by step procedures to access JAMB CAPS 1. Visit jamb.org.ng/efacility  preferably using a PC or chrome browser on mobile. 2. Login with the credentials( email and password) you created your jamb account with. 3. After successfully logging in, click on the options button ( the button with 3 dash) at the top of the page. 4. You'll see CAPS under the tag 'Admissions'. Click on it and you'll be taken to the CAPS page. 5. If the page only shows 'welcome', do not be discouraged. Just click on options on your mobile's browser and change the view of the page to 'desktop view'. This is why it's preferable to use a PC. 6.
