Breaking News: OAU Loses Part 3 Pharmacy Student to Illness

Abdulbasit Abdulkareem
On Tuesday Night, Aliu Asisat Olashile, a Part 3 Pharmacy student, tragically passed away. The news was confirmed through a recent release by the Muslim Students' Society of Nigeria (MSSN) OAU, conveyed by its Public Relations Officer, Abdullah.

The statement from PRO Abdullah conveyed the sorrow felt by the MSSN OAU community, stating, "It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear sister, Aliu Asisat Olashile in Pharmacy, Part 3. Her untimely departure has left a void in our MSSN OAU family."

The announcement further highlighted the irony of fate, noting that just 24 hours prior, the community had gathered for a blood donation drive, unaware of the impending tragedy.

Meanwhile, earlier, it was reported a few days ago that Aliu Asisat Olashile urgently needed donors with blood group O+ due to significant blood loss due to chronic illness. Every effort made to rally support and find suitable donors proves abortive.

As the OAU community mourns, the MSSN OAU called upon everyone to reflect on Aliu Asisat Olashile's legacy, emphasizing her kindness, dedication, and the positive impact she had on those around her. The void left by her untimely departure is deeply felt within the MSSN OAU family and resonates throughout the university.
