OAU Students' Leaders Meet, Call for Anti-cultism March

Some students' leaders across faculties and departments on OAU campus, met with the action committee on May 29th to discuss issues and happenings that relate to students' affairs.

The meeting which had in attendance - executive members and parliamentarians across the faculties; members of the students' union action committee and students, held at social sciences lecture theatre II. At the meeting, a coalition of Faculty cum Departmental executives and Parliamentarians was formed and was placed under the "temporal leadership of  7-man ad-hoc committee."

The committee was also charged with the task of ensuring the inclusiveness of the coalition through orientation and mobilisation of students. The coalition assigned itself, the responsibility of tackling burning issues affecting students on and off campus - such as the live threat of cultist attack; the unsafe living and learning conditions of students and the reinstatement of the students' Union.

As a reaction to the June 1 threat, the coalition has opted to organise and mobilize an anti-cultism march on the 30th and 31st of March at SUB by 4pm.
