OAU Allays Fears of Cultists Mass Invasion

Mr. Babatunde Oyatokun, the Chief Security Officer (CSO), Obafemi Awolowo University, has acknowledged the scary broadcast about cultists invasion of the campus.


Earier today, students of Obafemi Awolowo University received a message titled "To The Prawns and Suirrells of Obafemi Awolowo University" through social media platforms. The release was owned by the name "Oju (Eyes)."

You should recall that there was an attack on Saturday's late night by the "Alora confraternity" when Zlatan Ibile, a well-known musician was performing in a show that held in Amphitheater.

The attack has been confirmed to have been carried out mostly by students of Oduduwa University, a neighbouring university.

Some students were caught and have been handed over to the Moore police division as earlier reported by OAU Kilonshele.

However, the scary release that has been broadcasted on groups and pages noted that there will be a revenge mission on 1st of June by the group.

The scary release has been met with different reactions by students, some argued that the release should not be taken serious while some called for proper and serious reaction in order to avoid another disaster.

Meanwhile, the Chief Security Officer of Obafemi Awolowo University, Mr Babtunde acknowledged the release when contacted by this correspondent and reiterated that the school is working on it.

"The university is working on it, we are working on it. Any step taken can not be publicised," he told OAU KILONSHELE correspondent.
