PSSRC OAU Speaker, Tobit launches first Parliamentary magazine

 


The Political Science Students' Representative Council- PSSRC OAU (Department of Political Science) under the leadership of Faturoti Oluwatobiloba well accorded as Hon. Tobit has launched its first-ever Parliamentary magazine.


The Parliamentary magazine entitled "My Impact" revolves around and encapsulates notable achievements belted to Tobit's administration as the Speaker for 2021/2022 academic session of the PSSRC OAU hallowed chamber- a student legislative arm of the Department of Political Science, Obafemi Awolowo University.


Excerpts from the magazine are herein below;


IN GLANCE: AS THE HONOURABLE SPEAKER, PSSRC OAU


1) First to organize parliamentary summit on the 6 of December 2022 graced by Osun State immediate Speaker, Rt. Hon Timothy Owoeye; Osun state Chief Whip, Hon. Babatunde OLATUNJI Lekan; Hon. Uzamot Halil Adebayo, and Hon. Babatunde Desmond Ojo and 8 others.

 

2) Bought and secured a new Mace, Gavel and speaker's gown for PSSRC OAU plenary session usage. 


3) Sustained the existing legacy of parliamentary trip on the 3rd May,2023.


4) First to start Constitutional sensitization known as 'know your constitution', an informative Platform for teaching NAPSS constitution.


As the Director of Socials of National Association of Political Science OAU


1) Organized first Executive Trip on the 30 of July, 2021.


2) Bought Table tennis, Monopoli , chess , scrabble and Ludo , whot , draft, ayoo olopon before he was sworn in as part of his promise to get it on or before he was sworn in.


3) Innovation of NAPSS TV. 


4) Creation of NAPSS OAU Official Page on Facebook and Celebration of NAPSS OAU students' birthday on the official page.


5) Orphanage visitation which was the first to be done in the history of NAPSS OAU.


In an interview with the PSSRC OAU Speaker Faturoti Oluwatobiloba - Tobit, made known the administration under his leadership was challenging.

" Like I use to tell people, the definition of capacity is not doing something when you are convenient. Capacity is doing something when you are not convenient. A lot of things I embarked on are inconvenient and I thank God it all came out successful." He stated.

OAU RELEASES FINAL LIST FOR 2017/2018 ADMISSIONS.

Friday, 12th January, 2018. By Olufemi Alfred .O.     In lieu of a recent publication by OAU KILONSHELE about the release of admissions list despite the strike, it has been gathered that Obafemi Awolowo University has submitted the final lists of admitted candidates to the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) on the 10th of January.     However, JAMB has began the uploading of the names on the Caps  section of the website as about 20 students have been confirmed by OAU KILONSHELE  to have been admitted      All candidates (Direct Entry and JAMB applicants)  , awaiting their names should log on to the JAMB website and check if they have been admitted.

OAU ADMISSIONS MERIT LIST UPLOADED ON JAMB WEBSITE.

      Few days ago, OAU KILONSHELE posted the release of Obafemi Awolowo University merit list for 2017/2018 admissions, it has been confirmed that some of the aspirants have seen their names on  JAMB's website.       Admission status can be viewed on the CAPS section of the website.           Below are the step by step procedures to access JAMB CAPS 1. Visit jamb.org.ng/efacility  preferably using a PC or chrome browser on mobile. 2. Login with the credentials( email and password) you created your jamb account with. 3. After successfully logging in, click on the options button ( the button with 3 dash) at the top of the page. 4. You'll see CAPS under the tag 'Admissions'. Click on it and you'll be taken to the CAPS page. 5. If the page only shows 'welcome', do not be discouraged. Just click on options on your mobile's browser and change the view of the page to 'desktop view'. This is why it's preferable to use a PC. 6.
