Busayo Ejiofor emerges President of Magna Curia Chambers

Magna Busayo Ejiofor Simon also known as MagnaBush has clinched the apex seat of Magna Curia Chambers with total number of 24 votes against his opponent who polled 10 votes.

The winner of the election Magna Busayo Ejiofor Simon (MagnaBush) began his stewardship of the Chambers when he featured in the 9th Prince Bola Ajibola Annual Public Lecture as a co-debater alongside bringt chaps like Magna Disu Damilare and Magna Adeife Samiat. He further served in the same year as the secretary of the Chambers election commission and a versatile member of the recruitment committee. In the academic stage, MagnaBush is always on the front burner in his subgroup within the Chambers. All these earned him the award of the most committed magnarian and at the same time, gave him what will later become a lifetime appellation (MagnaBush). He served further without compromise in the above capacities even until his election day albeit sometimes in an oversight role. He was the director of Press and Publications in Part 3 and served as director of socials in Part 4

The office he currently occupies.

The election which featured a battle of attrition between Busayo Ejiofor Simon (MagnaBush) and Akinleye Khadija (the incumbent VP) ended in favor of MagnaBush.

Other members elect are Magna Blessing Akomolafe (VP), Ajiteru Kolade(registrar), Oyinlola Victor (Provost), Irebami Aruleba Oluwaponmile (director of press and publication), Abdulrauf Yusuf Olanrewaju.

Magna Curia Chambers was established in the year 2003 with the vision to redefine the standard of leadership through law.

The founding members of Magna Curia Chambers include Dr. Woke Kunuji (First class honors in Law, Nigeria Law School and Havard School of Law), Dr. Koyejo, Lecturer at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Barr. Nicolas Olalekan Babatunde, former NBA Secretary, Ile-Ife branch etc. Dr. Wole Kunuji was the first President of Magna Curia Chambers.

The Patron of the Chambers is the late Prince Bola Abdul-jabar Ajibola (SAN, KBE, D.Sc,D.Litt,FNIALS,FCIArb,CFR). Magna Curia Chambers popularly referred to as the Chambers of Presidents (because it is notorious for producing more Presidents in Ifelaw in recent years) or the Chambers of roo serious students (because of her notoriety in the unmatched academic excellence of her members).

Magna Curia Chambers hosts a lot of academic programmes chiefly among them the Annual Prince Bola Ajibola Public Lecture, a lecture in honor of Prince Bola Ajibola. The lecture will take the title of Memorial Lecture instead of Public Lecture considering the demise of Prince Bola Ajibola on the 8th of April, 2023.

The President-elect salutes his co-contestant for her service to the growth and progress of the Chambers from years past and further implores her to join hands with the coming administration so that the collective goals of the Chambers will be actualized. He further congratulates his fellow executive members elect and enjoins them to work assiduously with him to move the Chambers to the peak where it rightly belongs. This may only be difficult in the face of so many realities but not impossible in any way. In his words, "The Israelites saw Goliath as an obstacle too big to confront but David saw it as a hit too big to miss".
