TESA OAU Elects Momentum as President, others

Abdulbasit AbdulkareemThe Electoral Committee of the Technology and Engineering Students' Association has announced Ibiyemi Opeyemi as the elected president of the association.

It was made known in a recent announcement by Hon. AbdulKabir Luqman Adelodun, Chairman of the TESA OAU Electoral Committee. The results of the Technology and Engineering Students' Association (TESA) elections held on Wednesday have been unveiled. The elections, overseen by the electoral committee's Public Relation Officer (PRO), Omoniyi Alli (Hon. Noble), saw an enthusiastic participation of students, culminating in the election of a new leadership team.

Election Results: Dynamic Lineup Takes Charge

The newly elected officials include Ibiyemi Opeyemi (Momentum) from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, who emerged as President with 786 votes. Akintunde John Akanbi from the Department of Civil Engineering secured the position of Vice President 1 with 1130 votes. Meanwhile, Iyanuoluwa Adeola Ajayi (Loveth) from the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering secured the position of Vice President 2, garnering 1006 votes.

Other elected members of the TESA OAU executive council include Moshood Kafayat (Kaffy) from the Department of Food Science and Technology as General Secretary with 1523 votes, and Olawale Mudathir (Daking) from the Department of Civil Engineering as Public Relations Officer (PRO) with 847 votes. Saludeen Adedeji Olaniyan (Deeny) from the Department of Civil Engineering takes on the responsibility of Financial Secretary with 951 votes.

Adetona Happiness (Redox) emerged as Assistant General Secretary with a total of 1499 votes, while Agoi Oluwanifemi Opeyemi (Shugar) from the Department of Material Science and Engineering secured the position of Welfare Director with 1542 votes. Basit Yusuf (Gustavo) from the Department of Material Science and Engineering claimed the victory as the Director of Sport with 1570 votes.

Owoade Ajibade Saddam from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering emerged as Director of Social with 1491 votes, and Ojo Oluwagbenga John from the Department of Mechanical Engineering secured the position of Librarian with 1522 votes.
