In its efforts to create a more visually appealing campus environment, the Junior Chambers International (JCI) OAU Chapter has undertaken a road sign project using vibrant paintings.
During an exclusive interview with OAU Kilonshele, the President of the association, Habeebullah Oyekola, shed light on the project's significance. Oyekola stated that the road sign project is a strategic part of JCI OAU's objectives, emphasizing the association's commitment to instigating positive societal changes and fostering the development of capable leaders.
The project, which commenced on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023, in front of the University library concluded on Sunday, 3rd December, in front of Adekunle Fajuyi Hall, OAU.
The primary goal of this initiative, as outlined by President Oyekola, is to enhance the campus's aesthetic appeal and improve road accessibility for everyone.
This becomes especially pertinent with the upcoming West Africa University Game 2023 (WAUG'23), which, according to OAU Kilonshele, was scheduled to take place from December 16th to December 23rd, 2023.
He further noted that JCI OAU's efforts not only contribute to the beautification of the campus but also align with the practical needs of the university community, in preparation for a significant event on the horizon.
