Experts Advocate New Narratives for Africa’s Creative Future
Ifeoluwa Lambe Writers, artists, scholars, performers, and literature enthusiasts gathered at Ace Hall, Obafemi Awolowo University, on Saturday, June 20, for the third edition of the Association of Nigerian Authors, OAU Sub-Chapter (ANA-OAU) Books and Arts Festival, where participants explored Africanfuturism, storytelling, literature, film, and the future of African creative expression. The festival, themed “Africanfuturism and the Nigerian Creative,” featured artistic performances, literary conversations, film screenings, competitions, and exhibitions aimed at examining emerging directions in African cultural production. Among dignitaries present were Gbemisola Adeoti, Mr Awosemon Moriola, Professor Pastier, Alhaja Uzain, Miss Ipeolayo Olawo, and Dr Toyin Ogundeyin, Head of the Department of Dramatic Arts.
