OAU STUDENTS PROTEST HIKE IN SCHOOL FEES
Adeniran Tolulope Photo Credit: Great Ife Students’ Union Students of the Obafemi Awolowo University, on Tuesday October 3rd, have hit the University campus gate to stage a protest over the recent hike in school fees and demanding for a 50% reduction in the new charges. As seen, the students shut the main gate of the University, as no one was able to enter the University vicinity with their vehicles. Students, staff, other stakeholders of the University were seen stranded at the campus gate this morning. It should be noted that the protest was called after the congress held by the Students' Union at the TV Room, Ken Saro Wiwa Students' Union Building, on Monday October 2nd.
