Great IFE Students’ Union Holds Sports’ Fiesta for Freshmen
Abdulbasit Abdulkareem, Johnson Precious The Office of the Sports Director of the Great IFE Students’ in the display of athletic prowess is currently hosting the Sports Fiesta which is part of the scheduled programs to welcome Freshmen of the Obafemi Awolowo University to Campus. Earlier on Tuesday, November 14th, during the Opening Ceremony of, the Sports Fiesta, which was held at the Main bowl of the University’s Sports Complex, the Faculty of Science freshmen team won the opening match against Freshmen from the Faculty of Social with 4 goals to 1. Meanwhile, the program continued with football matches and scrabble games on Wednesday, November 15. The Scrabble games which had in attendance, representatives from each faculty, was held in both male and female category. Other featured games were the video games, PES FIFA and Mortal Combat, and chess, among other recreational activities. Spectators were seen cheering on the participants for their talents. ...
