Technology And Engineering Students' Association Sets For Election

Technology and Engineering Students' Association (TESA) at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) is set to hold its election, on Wednesday, bringing an air of excitement and anticipation among students.
In a conversation with OAU Kilonshele Reporter, a member of the electoral committee, Simeon Afen shed light on essential details regarding the voting process and eligibility criteria. According to the committee member, only students from part 2 and above in any department within the Faculty of Technology are eligible to cast their votes.
Furthermore, to ensure a smooth and secure voting process, he added that students are required to present any means of identification when coming to vote. The additional measure aims to authenticate the identity of voters, reinforcing the integrity of the electoral process.
"The voting exercise is scheduled to commence at 10 am and will conclude at 3 pm, providing a five-hour window for eligible students to actively participate in shaping the leadership of TESA." He said.
The designated polling units across key departments within the Technology and Engineering faculty offer convenient locations for students from diverse disciplines to engage in this democratic process.
He said students can participate in the electoral process at the following locations: Chemical Engineering Department, Spider, Electronic and Electrical Engineering Department, Computer Science and Engineering Department, and Agricultural Engineering Department.
He urged all eligible students in the faculty of Technology to exercise their right to vote and actively contribute to the association's direction in the present academic session
