GIFL: Excerpt from Match Day 1 — OAU Kilonshele


On Match Day 1 of the Great Ife Football League, whilst some may call it a wonderful performance, some will rather say it is a great performance from each of the teams present in the league. 

Kolawole Abdullahi was named the Man of the Match In the clash against the Department of History on Thursday when the Department of Demography and Social Studies won with a goal of 1 to 0. This made the Department of Demography stand as the second on the group stage, while History took up the third position on the Group A Table. The Department of Building lost their first match giving Computer Sci and Tech a chance to hold the first position with 3 points in Group A. 

 There was a protest when Olorunsesan Stephen from Food Science And Technology was declared the Man of The Match during a clash against the Department of Kinesiology and Health Recreation. Meanwhile, the cause of the commotion was that the Department of Kinesiology and Health Recreation won against FST in the match. As said by many football lovers, the Man of The Match was to emerge from the winning team, KHR. The loss of the game took FST to the fourth with 0 points on the group stage, while KHR held on to the second position on the Group B table. Agricultural Engineering won the match against the Department of Quantity Survey with goals of 2 to 1. 

It was unbelievable as the Department of Mathematics won with a goal of 3 to 0 against their counterparts from Public Administration. This made Mathematics take the first position in Group F with 3 pts. In the clash of Electronic and Electrical Engineering against Zoology, none of the departments were able to score a goal. 

Linguistic won against International Relations in the first clash as Linguistic Narrowly won with 1 goal, securing the first position on the group table with 3 points. , Microbiology and Philosophy battles with 2nd and 3rd position in Group C, as the two teams were not able to score against each other in the clash.

Also, the Department of Economics drew in their match against the Department of Accounting, similar to Biochemistry and Psychology. They all presently have the same 1-point on the league table. 

Science And Technology Education leads Group E after the clash against Animal Science, where they narrowly won with a goal of 3 to 0. Meanwhile, the Department of Geology had 0 points after the loss in the match against Political Science.

OAU RELEASES FINAL LIST FOR 2017/2018 ADMISSIONS.

Friday, 12th January, 2018. By Olufemi Alfred .O.     In lieu of a recent publication by OAU KILONSHELE about the release of admissions list despite the strike, it has been gathered that Obafemi Awolowo University has submitted the final lists of admitted candidates to the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) on the 10th of January.     However, JAMB has began the uploading of the names on the Caps  section of the website as about 20 students have been confirmed by OAU KILONSHELE  to have been admitted      All candidates (Direct Entry and JAMB applicants)  , awaiting their names should log on to the JAMB website and check if they have been admitted.

OAU ADMISSIONS MERIT LIST UPLOADED ON JAMB WEBSITE.

      Few days ago, OAU KILONSHELE posted the release of Obafemi Awolowo University merit list for 2017/2018 admissions, it has been confirmed that some of the aspirants have seen their names on  JAMB's website.       Admission status can be viewed on the CAPS section of the website.           Below are the step by step procedures to access JAMB CAPS 1. Visit jamb.org.ng/efacility  preferably using a PC or chrome browser on mobile. 2. Login with the credentials( email and password) you created your jamb account with. 3. After successfully logging in, click on the options button ( the button with 3 dash) at the top of the page. 4. You'll see CAPS under the tag 'Admissions'. Click on it and you'll be taken to the CAPS page. 5. If the page only shows 'welcome', do not be discouraged. Just click on options on your mobile's browser and change the view of the page to 'desktop view'. This is why it's preferable to use a PC. 6.
