TESA OAU DECIDES: Election Violation Raises Controversy

OAU KILONSHELE

During the Technology and Engineering Students' Association (TESAOAU) Election held today, a series of incidents unfolded at a polling unit within the Chemical Engineering department, injecting a dose of drama into the proceedings.

At a moment during the election process, a male agent was caught red-handed engaging in campaign activities, a direct violation of the electoral rules. Swiftly intervening, a member of the electoral committee confronted the campaigning agent, emphasizing the prohibition of campaigning during the election.

The encounter heightened tensions at the Chemical Engineering polling unit as the committee member sought to enforce a fair and impartial voting process.

Simultaneously, another challenge emerged as the committee member took issue with an agent flaunting two tags. According to the committee's regulations, only one tag is permitted for each agent, and the committee member insisted that the agent promptly remove one of the two tags.

In a bold response, the challenged agent decided to take on the committee member, challenging her to produce evidence supporting the claim that an agent cannot wear two tags. This exchange added an extra layer of intrigue to an already eventful election day.
