#GreatIfeDecides'24: Dr Bush Emerges as the President-elect of Great IFE Students' Union.

 
The Electoral Commission of the Great IFE Students' Union has announced Omoboriowo Damilola, popularly known as Dr Bush from the faculty of Clinical Sciences as the winner of the Presidential position of the CEC election that was held on June 26th, 2024. This was announced in a meeting held by the Electoral Commission, on June 27th, with candidates of the election, students and reporters. 

The Chairman of the Electoral Commission of the Great IFE Students' Union, Taofeek Ogunperi gave an highlight of the Electoral process and the results from the faculties, and then announced Omoboriowo Damilola (Dr Bush) as the winner of the election. Dr Bush won the election with a total vote of 3899 (42.2% of the total vote cast), clinging the winner of the election over his closest rival, Yusuf Toheeb (Yusolat), who had a total vote of 3004 (32.5% of the total vote cast).

It was recorded that the election had a total voter turnout of 9239, despite several disparities it faced. It was also reported that the election started late, and ended at 6pm in all Faculties. 

Other Elected Central Executive Council members of the Union include; Odediji Christianah (Temitianah) who had a total vote of 4973 to secure the position of the Vice President, Babatimehin Kinfeosi (Kinfeosi) who had a total vote of 4465 to secure the position of the Secretary General, Omisore Michael who had a total vote of 5438 to secure the position of the Assistant Secretary General.

Others include; Aka Daniel (Senator) who had a total vote of 4352 to secure the position of the Public Relations Officer, Fajuyi Ikeoluwa (FAJ) who had a total vote of 5007 to secure the position of the Financial Secretary, Busari Timilehin (S&T) who had a total vote of 4831 to secure the position of the Welfare Director, Tijani Yusuf (ASAP) who had a total vote of 3457 to secure the position of the Director of Socials and Culture and Oluwayimika Pelumi (Da Great) who had a total vote of 8071 to secure the position of the Director of Sports.

Happiness and joy ensued among students and supporters of the winners of the electio, as they witness their candidates win the election.
