The recruitment exercise which was tagged "the brightest and best " college recruitment was aimed at recruiting the best students of the institution and also offer them opportunities to develop themselves in their respective careers in any department of Guarantee Trust Bank at the end of their academic exploit.

The Dean of the Division of Students' Affairs (DSA) of the University, Professor isiaka Aransi also came around to gear up the prospective candidates to seize the opportunity offered to them and make a judicious use of it.

He also charged them to be a responsible flagbearer of the university during the recruitment exercise.

Some of the students who were in attendance for the recruitment exercise shared their experiences with OAU KILONSHELE.

One of the students, Oluwagbemi David, a final year student of Public Administration who spoke with our correspondent said he was displeased with the lack of time management but commended the opportunity.

"To be  honest, this is my first time taking such an exam on jobs and careers. Though at first, they weren't that organized and couldn't keep to time because we started late but things were fixed later. "

"it's a great privilege to be among those who sat for the exam, because i learnt some keynote lessons on speed and accuracy in attempting questions and also having lots of opportunities mixing up with great and talented career achievers who are staffs of the organization," he said.

In the same vein, another final year student, who pleaded anonymity commended the decision of the bank to organise a recruitment exercise for students in a bid to reward their academic endeavours.

"The program is actually a good initiative, at least its serves as an encouragement to students and also as a reward for their academic performance. We appreciate the Gtbank for setting up a program of that magnitude," the finalist said.

However, the finalist lamented the poor administration and organisation of the recruitment exercise by guarantee trust bank due to the delay experienced before the commencement of the recruitment test.

"But to my utmost amazement, the organization and planning of the program was nothing to reckon with. I believe that if an administration lacks planning then they can achieve very little."

"This belief of ''African time'' has eaten deep into our operations in Nigeria, the arrival time was slated for 8am but the examination did not start until some minutes after 12noon," the finalist  lamented.
