OAU PRO Allegedly Slaps Student During Candlelight Procession

A student of Obafemi Awolowo University was slapped by the institution PRO, Mr. Abiodun Olanrenwaju,  during a candlelight procession organized to mourn Omotola Akorede Kayode.

Omotola Kayode, a part three student of Micro Biology, OAU, slumped and died while playing a departmental novelty match.

Although, the University  in their report stated that the deceased died on arrival at the health centre. Further investigations revealed otherwise. Eyewitnesses confirmed that Omotola died due to negligence and ineptitude at the health centre.

However, it was widely confirmed that the school PRO, Abiodun Olanrenwaju showed up during the procession in an unfriendly way. It was also widely confirmed that the Mr. Abiodun slapped a student and threatened others before he left the scenes.

Eyewitnesses also confirmed that Mr. Abiodun, who was accompanied by the  school security team showed up again in the same unfriendly manner. Eyewitnesses confirmed that the 2nd appearance almost led to an accident.

OAU Kilonshele's efforts to reach Mr. Olanrewaju were unsuccessful as he did not respond to telephone calls put across.
