OAU Students enjoy freebies with Sterling bank's 3-month Programme.

Snap Cash, a three-month programme
 powered by Sterling bank, has promised a lot of benefits and freebies for students of Obafemi Awolowo University.

The initiative launched on Thursday evening and visited by our correspondent, has a free game centre, a snoker table, a mini library, a make-up section and a football viewing section.

Daphne Akatugba, the media and communications officer of the bank, told our journalist that the initiative is geared towards changing the boredom perspective that customers have about banks.


The officer, who described the programme as a way of giving back to the university community, stated that the students will enjoy the available facilities for free for the period of three months.

"As you know that the world cup is ongoing, students can come here to view the matches. The bicycles here will be rented at a very low cost likewise and chops and drinks at the bar will be subsidised too."

She added that students with an existing Sterling bank will be entitled to 50,000 naira worth of Loan while new accounts to be opened will enjoy 10, 000 naira of the loan scheme.

"After providing necessary details, they are entitled to a loan which should be refunded within the space of 3 months." Daphne told OAU KILONSHELE.

Students who were present at the lauching and accessed the facilities could not hide the excitement. Oladosu Lukman, a part 3 student, said his happiness new no bounds as he was able to play football games for free.

Adegoke Boluwatife, a final year student, expressed that learning snoker game at the centre was a fun fair.
"All thanks to Sterling bank." She said.
