POST-UTME EXERCISE FEE SHOULD NOT EXCEED #2,000. SAYS MINISTER OF EDUCATION.

The Minister of  Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu announced earlier that the ban on the conducting of post-UTME has been lifted.
He stated that the cancellation of the examination as a requirement for admission was a mistake. According to him, the cancelation of post-UTME brought about some
irregularities in the admissions of the previous admission year.
However, he added that institutions are free to conduct post-UTME or not but the fee for the exercise should not exceed #2,000.
In a publication by Premium times, the minister expressed that 2016 admissions was a success and the government is working tirelessly to make sure that it gets better.
Optimistically, he explained that the admission process this year will be better as many of the candidates will be absorbed in to the institutions of their choice.
It was noted that about 1.6 million applied for degree awarding institutions while 17,000 applied for National Diploma (ND) and National Certificate of Education(NCE) awarding institutions.
