OAU SU PRO SPEAKS ABOUT THE STANCE OF THE UNION IN RESPECT TO THE EXAM TIME-TABLE.




     In an exclusive interview with Mr. Okediji Simon(ZUMA), the Public Relations Officer of the Great Ife students' Union on the 7th of August, it was clearly stated that the union is set to do something as regards the extension of the examination time-table.
      Earlier, before he made known the stance of the Union on the examination Time-table, he asserted in defense against the allegation of no proper dissemination of information , saying ;
   
" You don't just go to halls of residence when you don't have anything to say. In terms of doing my job, I have no reservations because I've been doing my best."

   When asked why the union has been operating more on the Whatsapp platform, the Union officer affirmed that a larger percentage of the Students is on the Whatsapp platform, saying;

"People participate more on whatsapp... because of the constant and instant messaging."

      Futhermore, in his reply to the state of the bus and his take on the outcome of the investigation committee on the bus saga, it was confirmed that the committee, which was set up after the suspension of the President and the Financial Secretary, to look in to the purchase of the 14-seaters bus, did not indict any of the characters involved in their reports and that the issue of the price was not the bone of contention . He said ;
   
"None of the division or factions of the Investigation committee indicted the characters involved.
If the bus is being spotted at the mechanic workshop, it's either for servicing, changing of the tyres, changing of engine oil.... "

     In his advice to the generality of Great Ife students, he advised students to work together towards the progress of the Union.

OAU RELEASES FINAL LIST FOR 2017/2018 ADMISSIONS.

Friday, 12th January, 2018. By Olufemi Alfred .O.     In lieu of a recent publication by OAU KILONSHELE about the release of admissions list despite the strike, it has been gathered that Obafemi Awolowo University has submitted the final lists of admitted candidates to the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) on the 10th of January.     However, JAMB has began the uploading of the names on the Caps  section of the website as about 20 students have been confirmed by OAU KILONSHELE  to have been admitted      All candidates (Direct Entry and JAMB applicants)  , awaiting their names should log on to the JAMB website and check if they have been admitted.

OAU ADMISSIONS MERIT LIST UPLOADED ON JAMB WEBSITE.

      Few days ago, OAU KILONSHELE posted the release of Obafemi Awolowo University merit list for 2017/2018 admissions, it has been confirmed that some of the aspirants have seen their names on  JAMB's website.       Admission status can be viewed on the CAPS section of the website.           Below are the step by step procedures to access JAMB CAPS 1. Visit jamb.org.ng/efacility  preferably using a PC or chrome browser on mobile. 2. Login with the credentials( email and password) you created your jamb account with. 3. After successfully logging in, click on the options button ( the button with 3 dash) at the top of the page. 4. You'll see CAPS under the tag 'Admissions'. Click on it and you'll be taken to the CAPS page. 5. If the page only shows 'welcome', do not be discouraged. Just click on options on your mobile's browser and change the view of the page to 'desktop view'. This is why it's preferable to use a PC. 6.
