Late OAU Student had a Chronic Illness - Friends

Friends of Adeniji Hafeedoh, OAU student who was pronounced dead yesterday, has been said to have a Chronic Illness. Adeniji Hafeedoh, a student of English department was said to have died during the 1st semester holiday which ended about 2 weeks ago.

Based on conversations and messages gotten from friends, it was confirmed that late Hafeedoh had a Chronic illness which she had been battling with for long. Although, after Hafeedoh was pronounced dead - rumours spread that Hafeedoh committed suicide due to a suicidal write-up she wrote.

However, OAU Kilonshele can confirm that Hafeedoh was battling with a particular type of cancer. Speaking with Adejumo Kabir, who was a close friend of late Hafeedoh - he confirmed that Hafeedoh had cancer, a type he couldn't verify.

An OAU student, who was a friend to Hafeedoh, in his reaction to the death said "She didn't hang herself, she died from an Illness. She has been managing for long."

Another person who was close to Hafeedoh said "She is a cancer patient. She has been battling it for a long time but she got over it at some point. It got worse last semester, she even missed some papers during the last semester examination."
