OVERCOMING YOUR FEARS by Owoade Samuel

Fear, one of the most limiting factors on God's green earth. The phenomenon that constantly attacks  potentials and leaves shame and weariness at its wake.
The first step towards conquering fear is identifying what the main object of fear is. Recognize the object that makes you get scared not the fear it causes in itself. If you always get scared of rats, identify what scares you exactly, the hideous patterns in which they move, their destructive nature, their appearance etc.
The greatest way of conquering your fear is to confront it!. If you're scared of failing a professional exam, prepare  adequately and sit for the exam. If you're scared of speaking at public lectures, watch past successful public speakers and learn to speak more in the company of friends, listen to positive things.
Instead of thinking of how disappointed your family would be if you messed up, think of how proud and happy they would be to see you up there glowing. Your decision not to dwell on the negative side of something does not make it disappear, rather, it focuses your attention on the brighter side. This has been the distinction between the most successful people and people who've never tried. have a positive mindset. Be practical but don't be quick to always see the negative side to things first. Have an optimistic mindset.
Prior to the separation of the Siamese twins by Ben Carson, no surgeon had been able to conduct the operation successfully, he could have turned down the offer by citing the fact that others who were probably more experienced than he was had already failed at it.
Some fears are meant to be ignored while others have to be faced. If you're scared of stepping on nails, simple logic tells you not to walk around bare footed. And if you are scared of making grammatical blunders while speaking in English, engage more in conversations in English!
Confront your fears and you'll find yourself making incredible waves!
