OAU Management Mums As DOS, Others Released By DSS

In respect to OAU KILONSHELE earlier report on the arrest and detention of the Students' Union Social Director, Adegboye Olamilekan - Omo Alhaji, his release has been revealed by a source.


It was disclosed that the release of Omo Alhaji, Abeja Ibukun and Adebayo Nurudeen was made last Saturday while the OAU Chief Security Officer, Mr. Babatunde Oyatokun in similar vein confirmed to OAU KILONSHELE.

Our correspondent in an interview with OAU Chief Security Officer, Mr. Babatunde Oyatokun attributed the arrest to an earlier attack launched on a female student between Fajuyi and Akintola hall [bushy path] axis in the middle of the night where she was stabbed and robbed of her mobile phone. He further stated their release doesn't amount to inculpability as OAU management is yet to issue a public statement on the outcome of the investigation as tendered by the external security agency.

"They have concluded the investigation. The external security that conducted the investigation had earlier issued a report which was sent to the management. It's now left for the management public relations office to issue out a release to inform the public about the situation, what was the cause of the arrest and whether they're culpable or not and what the university is intending to do next."

He maintained the University management has zero tolerance for any sort of violent activities capable of disrupting orderliness in the school community and also assuring adequate safety as occupants go about their academic and usual activities.


Speaking with OAU Public Relations Officer, Dr. Abiodun Olanrewaju disclaimed knowledge of information about the outcome of the investigation.

"I don't have any brief concerning that for now and I will not comment on things I'm not abreast of." He said.

OAU RELEASES FINAL LIST FOR 2017/2018 ADMISSIONS.

Friday, 12th January, 2018. By Olufemi Alfred .O.     In lieu of a recent publication by OAU KILONSHELE about the release of admissions list despite the strike, it has been gathered that Obafemi Awolowo University has submitted the final lists of admitted candidates to the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) on the 10th of January.     However, JAMB has began the uploading of the names on the Caps  section of the website as about 20 students have been confirmed by OAU KILONSHELE  to have been admitted      All candidates (Direct Entry and JAMB applicants)  , awaiting their names should log on to the JAMB website and check if they have been admitted.

OAU ADMISSIONS MERIT LIST UPLOADED ON JAMB WEBSITE.

      Few days ago, OAU KILONSHELE posted the release of Obafemi Awolowo University merit list for 2017/2018 admissions, it has been confirmed that some of the aspirants have seen their names on  JAMB's website.       Admission status can be viewed on the CAPS section of the website.           Below are the step by step procedures to access JAMB CAPS 1. Visit jamb.org.ng/efacility  preferably using a PC or chrome browser on mobile. 2. Login with the credentials( email and password) you created your jamb account with. 3. After successfully logging in, click on the options button ( the button with 3 dash) at the top of the page. 4. You'll see CAPS under the tag 'Admissions'. Click on it and you'll be taken to the CAPS page. 5. If the page only shows 'welcome', do not be discouraged. Just click on options on your mobile's browser and change the view of the page to 'desktop view'. This is why it's preferable to use a PC. 6.
