OAU ATHLETES MARCHED DOWN TO THE DSA BUILDING IN SOLIDARITY AGAINST THE ALLOCATION OF BED SPACES .



      Sportsmen converged at the students union building in the afternoon of Tuesday, 30th of May  to stage a peaceful protest against the allocation of sports category bed spaces to non athletes, at the Division of Students' affairs building. 
      In the address of the Students' Union, Director of Sports to the sportsmen, he made it known that the sports-category bed spaces given to non-athletes should be withdrawn by the division in charge. In his words, 
      '' We are marching to the DSA office to claim what belongs to the sportsmen since they've decided not to yield to the yearnings of the athletes. ''
    On getting to the Division of Students' affairs building, the athletes expressed their grievances and were attended to by a senior staff of the department. The man stated it emphatically that something will be done as regards their accommodation. He said, 
    "The dean is not around presently as she is at her inauguration as a commissioner of Osun state. The vice dean is not around as well, but both of them should be back by tomorrow. So be rest assured that your case will be attended to by tomorrow." 
    The sportsmen then informed the division that they are going to halls of residence to evict occupants in the sports category. This was followed by an eviction notice pasted on the door rooms of the affected rooms which are mainly in Fajuyi hall and Akintola hall, thereby giving occupants the ultimatum of 24hrs to vacate those bed spaces.

OAU RELEASES FINAL LIST FOR 2017/2018 ADMISSIONS.

Friday, 12th January, 2018. By Olufemi Alfred .O.     In lieu of a recent publication by OAU KILONSHELE about the release of admissions list despite the strike, it has been gathered that Obafemi Awolowo University has submitted the final lists of admitted candidates to the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) on the 10th of January.     However, JAMB has began the uploading of the names on the Caps  section of the website as about 20 students have been confirmed by OAU KILONSHELE  to have been admitted      All candidates (Direct Entry and JAMB applicants)  , awaiting their names should log on to the JAMB website and check if they have been admitted.

OAU ADMISSIONS MERIT LIST UPLOADED ON JAMB WEBSITE.

      Few days ago, OAU KILONSHELE posted the release of Obafemi Awolowo University merit list for 2017/2018 admissions, it has been confirmed that some of the aspirants have seen their names on  JAMB's website.       Admission status can be viewed on the CAPS section of the website.           Below are the step by step procedures to access JAMB CAPS 1. Visit jamb.org.ng/efacility  preferably using a PC or chrome browser on mobile. 2. Login with the credentials( email and password) you created your jamb account with. 3. After successfully logging in, click on the options button ( the button with 3 dash) at the top of the page. 4. You'll see CAPS under the tag 'Admissions'. Click on it and you'll be taken to the CAPS page. 5. If the page only shows 'welcome', do not be discouraged. Just click on options on your mobile's browser and change the view of the page to 'desktop view'. This is why it's preferable to use a PC. 6.
