MAN THE MIC 2017, A SUCCESS!
Saturday, 29th January, 2017

The popularly anticipated 2 days training took off on Friday, 27th of January around 1:00pm and ended in the evening on Saturday, 28th of January. It took place at the Moot and Mock court, faculty of law with people from different tertiary institutions in Nigeria as participants.

The facilitators for the first and second day of the program were Mc Simba, Mc Ashiri(both are comedians alongside being Masters of ceremony), Don tee, an On-Air Personality, a mass communicator and a public speaker, Ayo Atitebi a public speaker, and the award winning beauty queen, TV presenter and an actress/model- Nancy I simply.

On the first day, after the welcome address by the host, Mr Timileyin Agbaje, Mc Simba delivered his speech on the topic, "The 21st century M.C" highlighting the 'dos' and 'don'ts' of a recent time M.C. After the impactful session, Don tee spoke on the "art of faceless communication" and how to make money out of the 'art'. He also made known the evolution and the cycle of the means of sending messages. A break was then declared for participants to mingle with themselves.

After the break, questions were asked and properly tackled. Afterwards, Mc Ashiri made his delivery and a open platform was given to participants to publicly practicalize what they've learnt for the day. Photograph sessions followed and the curtain for the day was drawn.

On Saturday, the following day, Nancy Isime addressed the audience using her story which centered on passion. She entertained questions and did justice to the questions all. A practical class like the previous day followed as she assessed them and passed constructive comments on the participants.

In return, participants showed her love through expressing 'shout outs' and engaging in selfie sessions with her. The lunch break was declared and participants were served a sumptuous meal.

After the break, Ayo Atitebi made his extraordinary and impacting delivery and the stage was open again for intending public speakers. Later on, the host addressed participants, reminding them of the upcoming grand finale on Feb 5, 2017 , where participants will go for field works to perform their various field of interests (public speaking, TV presenting, Master of ceremony....) and the presentation of a two-weeks certificate of participation to all participants.

According to an interview with the host, Timi Agbaje, the "ManTheMic " team is working towards getting the best of the participants a contract deal. Also, he revealed that the event will not just be a once-in-a-lifetime moment as subsequent editions will come up. A succes indeed!
