SPORTS: 'Woman Crush Wednesday' on the Two Madrids.

A wednesday of mixed reactions as news broke in the morning that Kevin de Bruyne had sustained what looked like a calf injury during training at Manchester City but series of tests have to be run by the Club's physio to determine if the injury is a serious one or not.


Victor Moses came out to announce his retirement from International Football as he bade farewell to the Nigerian National Team stating his unselfish desire to allow young talents flourish in the National Team. His other reason was to be with his young family,his 6-year old son,Brentley and 3-year old daughter,Nyah moses.



The day came to an end  with the UEFA  Super Cup Final between Real Madrid and their Woman Crush,Athletico Madrid. Athletico Madrid last beat Real Madrid  2-1 on the 10th of may,2017. Athletico suffered a 4-1 loss to Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions league Final in 2016 and also suffered a 3-0 defeat to Real Madrid at the Vicente Calderon,the home of Athletico Madrid.

 It has been Real Madrid  coming out on top of Athletico Madrid  which made Real Madrid the favourite anytime these two meet to the extent of Football Fans saying Real Madrid has a crush on Athletico Madrid which makes them unable to stop beating Athletico Madrid. 

The match started with an early goal from Diego Costa in the first minute after he found himself in space and fired into the roof of the net. Karim Benzema equalised for Real Madrid in the 27th minute after heading in a cross from Gareth Bale. They were levelled at Half Time.
The Second Half resulted into a penalty decision in favour of Real Madrid after Juanfran of Athletico Madrid handled the ball in the box. Sergio Ramos converted and put Real Madrid ahead but Diego Costa had other ideas after he took advantage of the slacking defense from Real Madrid  to level the scores.

        Ninety Minutes ended  with the Teams levelled and extra time was needed to separate the teams as a woeful defensive tactic gave Saul of Athletico Madrid  the space to score a volley from a pass by Thomas partey.  Diego Costa was the architect of the fourth goal after he made way for himself into the Real Madrid box before laying the ball to vitolo who decided not to be selfish and  passed it to Koke who was free and had the space to send Real Madrid into a state of disbelief.
       
It was a well earned victory for Athletico Madrid as they are set to stop being the Woman Crush of Real Madrid. Real Madrid last lost a non-domestic cup final in 2000 and have been sent back to check where things went wrong by Athletico Madrid.



Is this the end of the common saying that 'Real Madrid must not get to the final, once they do, they win' or did Athletico Madrid benefit from luck?  Only the new season can bring answers.

OAU RELEASES FINAL LIST FOR 2017/2018 ADMISSIONS.

Friday, 12th January, 2018. By Olufemi Alfred .O.     In lieu of a recent publication by OAU KILONSHELE about the release of admissions list despite the strike, it has been gathered that Obafemi Awolowo University has submitted the final lists of admitted candidates to the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) on the 10th of January.     However, JAMB has began the uploading of the names on the Caps  section of the website as about 20 students have been confirmed by OAU KILONSHELE  to have been admitted      All candidates (Direct Entry and JAMB applicants)  , awaiting their names should log on to the JAMB website and check if they have been admitted.

OAU ADMISSIONS MERIT LIST UPLOADED ON JAMB WEBSITE.

      Few days ago, OAU KILONSHELE posted the release of Obafemi Awolowo University merit list for 2017/2018 admissions, it has been confirmed that some of the aspirants have seen their names on  JAMB's website.       Admission status can be viewed on the CAPS section of the website.           Below are the step by step procedures to access JAMB CAPS 1. Visit jamb.org.ng/efacility  preferably using a PC or chrome browser on mobile. 2. Login with the credentials( email and password) you created your jamb account with. 3. After successfully logging in, click on the options button ( the button with 3 dash) at the top of the page. 4. You'll see CAPS under the tag 'Admissions'. Click on it and you'll be taken to the CAPS page. 5. If the page only shows 'welcome', do not be discouraged. Just click on options on your mobile's browser and change the view of the page to 'desktop view'. This is why it's preferable to use a PC. 6.
