OAU students remanded for allegations of cultism granted bail.

Some students of Obafemi Awolowo University, suspected to be members of cult groups, have been granted bail at the Osun State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Osogbo after a week.
OAU KILONSHELE reported the arrest and the detainment of 12 students of the university at the state's CID last week.
John Udeh, a part 2 student of social studies education; Mr. Tobi Oladoye, 400 level student of English Department; Ridwan Oluwatobi, a part 2 student and a part 4 student of Music Department identified as 'Jaaga', were part of those arrested.
As confirmed by the Chief Security Officer of the school, Mr. Babatunde Oyatokun, OAU KILONSHELE gathered that all of those arrested have been released on bail conditions.
"The Police said they've released all of them on bail but they are not supposed to be found on campus."
"The university will make pronouncement on them latest on Wednesday. A committee will be set up to look in to their case." He said.
Also, speaking with the Public Relations Officer of the university, Abiodun Olanrewaju, on Sunday, he said the university awaits the official police report before making any public release.
"But very soon, a release will be made to that effect." He assured.
However, in a phone conversation with some of the students, OAU KILONSHELE confirmed their release.
Tobi Oladoye of English Department, who initially denied being at the police custody, kept mute when asked about his bail. His phone was not reachable and has not been active on social media platforms through out the previous week until Sunday.
Another student, Ridwan Oluwatobi, when asked for the bail conditions, did not disclose it to OAU KILONSHELE. He said it went through the normal process.
"Dem just do am normal normal."
Mr. Oluwatobi added that only one of the students, John Udeh, is yet to be granted bail while others have been released.
Several calls put across to Mr Udeh's line have not been going through as his phone has been switched off since last week up till the time of filing this report.
Meanwhile, all calls and text messages sent by OAU KILONSHELE to the state's police spokesperson, Folashade Odoro, to know the cause of the delay in the issuance of the police report and to ascertain the number of students granted bail, have not been responded to.
"I'm just getting this from you and yet to verify the information. I'll get back you after verifying." Was the promise made to the journalist a week ago.
