The English Premier League resumed for the second week after a round of fixtures which generated optimism for the coming week. The new boys once again found themselves in the same boat they were in the last round of fixtures.
Cardiff City played a goaless draw against Newcastle United in an eye-opener which served as a game of Redemption for Cardiff despite Newcastle's Isaac Hayden being sent off in the 66th minute.
Cardiff City and Newcastle earned their first point at the end of the match.
Everton were favourites to beat Southampton when the game kicked off and it took Theo Walcott only fifteen minutes to put Everton ahead before Richarlison made it two before half-time. Newly signed Danny Ings pulled one back for southampton but was not enough to demoralise Everton as they went on to win the game 2-1
No bag of tricks for wolverhampton wanderers and Fulham as they were taught the art of magic without tutorials when they visited their hosts, Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur Respectively.

There were no surprises either as Chelsea beat Arsenal by three goals to two. A goal from Pedro in the ninth minute and another by Morata in the twentieth minute sent chelsea fans on a full grown excitement but was short-lived when Mhkitaryan and Iwobi scored in a space of five minutes to bring Arsenal level with Chelsea.
The Chelsea loyalists would have the last laugh when substitute, Eden Harzard played a low pass to Marcus Alonso who effortlessly put the ball between the legs of Peter Cech in the Arsenal goal with 10 minutes to go.
The Teams which were expected to win came out on top on saturday which begs the question if truly the concept believed to be the "Bag of Tricks" truly exist.
