SPORTS: EPL Last week: New boys, new falls.

The anticipated English Premier league season kicked off on friday with the soldiers from the red platoon of Manchester well-armoured and prepared for victory led by the strong Frenchman, Paul Pogba, who did not fail to deliver by putting a goal through the enemy's defence.
They saw off the soldiers in blue from leicester with a 2-1 victory.
Saturday's fixtures saw the newly promoted teams get into action. The new boys are Wolverhampton wanderers, Fulham and Cardiff cities. Wolverhampton wanderers the best of the three secured a 2-2 draw with Everton in an entertaining match. They had to come from behind twice to secure a point for themselves. Ruben neves and Raul jimenez made sure a little smile was placed on the faces of their fans but it was not going to be a good outing for fulham and cardiff city.
Fulham were brought to their knees by jeffery schlupp in the 40th minute and Wilfred Zaha made sure they stayed on their knees in the 70th minute which secured a convincing victory for crystal palace.
Cardiff city did much of the damage themselves due to slack and lazy defending. It took Ryan fraser only 24 minutes to expose the inexperienced defenders of cardiff while Simon Francis showed the cardiff defenders a reason to hit the gym regularly as he used his body to a good advantage before setting calum wilson up for the second goal in the 90th minute. An outing which could have yielded at least a draw if the defence was not found wanting.
The new boys have not risen to the occasion and have given football fans a reason to believe the myth that "new boys" always struggle. Will they rise like the mystical phoenix bird or give excuses for their falls?
A question begging to be answered but only will next week arrive and show us if we will ask the question again when the new boys get into action.
