OAU Announces Two-Week Break




The management of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile -Ife, has declared a two-week mid-semester break, beginning from March 28, 2022.


This was stated in a release made on Saturday, signed by the university’s registrar, Mrs Magaret Idowu Omosule.


The statement read: “This is to inform staff and students of the university that Management, at a meeting held today, Saturday, 26th March, 2022, approved a two-week mid-semester break for students beginning from Monday, 28th March, 2022.


“We wish students of the university an enjoyable break.”


The university had since been rocked with series of protests by a group of Ife indigenes who reacted to the non-appointment of Ife indigene as the Vice Chancellor of the university.


The protest was, however, recently suspended.

  Adetunji Sade  Okajare Olayiwola James, popularly known as Ajobiewe, is a graduating student from the Faculty of Education, Department of Educational Management at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU). In an interview with Kilonshele News Agency, he recounted the challenges and lessons of his nine-year journey on campus, which tested his resilience and shaped his future.
