OAU Elections: OluwaJuedalo, Law Student And Presidential Aspirant, Withdraws After Falling Below CGPA Requirment

Oluwajuedalo, a part 4 student of Law, has withdrawn from the forthcoming students' union election after failing to meet up with the 2.5 CGPA requirement specified by the electoral commission.

In a statement released by the movement, they apologized to supporters and they promised to create a platform where the contestant can answer questions on issues surrounding the withdrawal.

Oluwajuedalo's movement also accused the management and pro-management groups of orchestrating their downfall. "The agenda we were bringing was one that would take the proverbial food from the table of political pensioners, and professional student leaders. It was an agenda that was ready to use dialogue and negotiation, but not afraid to enter confrontation, and those who have given us our union back, those who seized it in the first place, those people who do not like confrontation. Naturally, they launched into attacks, raised opposition against us from within and without, they did everything in their power," the movement said.

This leaves just six candidates contesting for the post of the Students' Union Presidency. Olayiwola Folahan Festus (Reform) - Olokede Oluwabukola Olamide (Bukola) - Jimoh Kehinde (Efficiency) - Adegoke Adeola Francis (Statesman) - Complex - and one other candidatee, are all still contesting.
