The Magistrate Court, Ile-Ife, Osun state, has moved to transfer the case of the suspected cultists that were arrested in Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) to high court.

The 4 suspected cultists were arraigned after they were arrested and taken to the State Criminal Investigative Department, Osogbo in May.

The 4 suspects were arraigned on 5 count charges ranging from violence to armed robbery. In the court appearance that happened last month, the accused pleaded "not guilty." The judge ruled that the suspects be remanded until the date of trial, which is today.

However, in a conversation with the chief Security Officer (CSO), Mr. Babatunde Oyatokun, he revealed to OAU Kilonshele that the Magistrate court has moved to transfer the case to high court.

"The case was asked to be moved to the high court and because of that they can't grant their bail. The date for the hearing will be determined after the administrative procedure for transfer of case has been met."
