The Obafemi Awolowo University Senate has thrown weight behind Prof Elujoba since his summon by EFCC last week which was a subsequent to his Abuja trip last semester.         Following the summon of the Vice chancellor, Prof. Anthony Elujoba and the university bursar, Mrs Akeredolu by the Economic Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) for an interview on how they expended over 1bn, which was allegedly meant for a specific project on the payment of allowances even though the school's P.R'O slams this as a lie that the money had no budget whatsoever while speaking with Punch Newspaper.        Some Great Ife students and Unions expressed their solidarity through shunning of academic and civic activities, displaying of placards with supporting inscriptions on them on 13th of December during the interrogative session at the EFCC zonal office in Ibadan. NASU & SSANU OAU go on a day's strike to show solidarity to Acting VC, Prof Anthony Elujoba. Earlier this morning, the news of Prof Elujoba being called by EFCC for questioning over alleged misappropriation of funds fly around the Great Ife campus epidemically. As a show of support to the acting Vice Chancellor, the aforementioned Unions have sent representatives to EFCC's office in Ibadan and also go on a day's strike. EFCC calls Ag VC Elujoba for questioning NASU, SSANU show solidarity The acting Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University has been invited for questioning by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission today, 13th of December 2016. The emergence of Prof Anthony Elujoba as the acting Vice Chancellor came as a result of the controversies surrounding the election of Prof Salami Ayobami by the suspended Governing Council months back. EFCC has invited the acting VC for questioning over the payment of arrears to NASU and SSANU OAU few months back in order to ease the protests by these aforementioned unions on campus as a clamour for the school management to pay their money, which delayed the 2015/2016 academic session resumption.
