NESA OAU Holds Conference, Charges Students to Inculcate Value

The grand finale 9th annual edition of the Nigerian Economics Students' Association Obafemi Awolowo University [NESA OAU] held on Wednesday has charged students to inculcate value in the pursuit of their academics.
The event was graced by notable and influential personalities across strata of firms and colored with students in their scores.
Economic veteran and guest speaker Prince Oyediran Adelani Ajanaku, an alumnus of the institution in his inaugural address stressed incorporating the youths with essential tools and skills will enhance economic growth and development.
"By equipping our young generation with necessary tools, skills and opportunities to flourish in the workforce, we can unlock a vast reservoir of potential that will propel economic growth and secure a prosperous future for all".
He faulted the fallen-short Nigerian education system and identified the high demand shrouded with competitiveness in the job market and enjoined them to be skillfully empowered aside from academic qualifications.
In attendance was the popular Nigerian comedian and actor, Woli Arole an alumnus who equally charged the students to inculcate and gather value.
"There's nothing called a marketplace, you can create your own marketplace." He said.
In an interview with OAU KILONSHELE Tunde Solomon, the Nigerian Economics Students' Association NESA-OAU President expressed his delight for the success of the event despite challenges incurred during the planning.
"We have resourceful speakers and it has been an impactful event. Students tend to have gained a lot." The President added.
The event which took place at Oduduwa Hall featured music, merriments, giveaway, panelist session and stand-up comedy session with one of OAU's top-rated celebrities, Ayo Santos.
