I failed courses, struggled with life during my university days - Woli Arole

Popular Nigerian comedian, actor and prophet, Woli Arole narrated his struggling days as an undergraduate at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) saying he never believed he could become a source of inspiration to anyone today.


Arole, who started his comedy journey with his friend, Asiri, on Instagram some years back, stated this after receiving an award of excellence and inspiration by the Nigerian Economics Students OAU chapter on Wednesday.


Arole, who arrived Nigeria from London, his new base, to be part of the event ,said he was in the school to encourage students about how to keep trusting God and recognise opportunities that will follow.


Speaking about his undergraduate days in the same school, the comedian stated that nothing from his past, especially in the university, could explain how his life has now turned out by the grace of God.


He disclosed that he failed courses and crossed from department to another because he couldn’t cope with academic activities and had to struggle to manage the resources that his parents provided for him.


“Today, I literally went emotional because I remembered my time in this school and how I failed courses and struggled because there was little or nothing I could do to help my situation.


“I moved from one department to another coping with the little resources I got from home. To think that I am back in the same school to encourage students and be decorated as a source of inspiration to students, this is priceless to me,” he added.

OAU RELEASES FINAL LIST FOR 2017/2018 ADMISSIONS.

Friday, 12th January, 2018. By Olufemi Alfred .O.     In lieu of a recent publication by OAU KILONSHELE about the release of admissions list despite the strike, it has been gathered that Obafemi Awolowo University has submitted the final lists of admitted candidates to the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) on the 10th of January.     However, JAMB has began the uploading of the names on the Caps  section of the website as about 20 students have been confirmed by OAU KILONSHELE  to have been admitted      All candidates (Direct Entry and JAMB applicants)  , awaiting their names should log on to the JAMB website and check if they have been admitted.

OAU ADMISSIONS MERIT LIST UPLOADED ON JAMB WEBSITE.

      Few days ago, OAU KILONSHELE posted the release of Obafemi Awolowo University merit list for 2017/2018 admissions, it has been confirmed that some of the aspirants have seen their names on  JAMB's website.       Admission status can be viewed on the CAPS section of the website.           Below are the step by step procedures to access JAMB CAPS 1. Visit jamb.org.ng/efacility  preferably using a PC or chrome browser on mobile. 2. Login with the credentials( email and password) you created your jamb account with. 3. After successfully logging in, click on the options button ( the button with 3 dash) at the top of the page. 4. You'll see CAPS under the tag 'Admissions'. Click on it and you'll be taken to the CAPS page. 5. If the page only shows 'welcome', do not be discouraged. Just click on options on your mobile's browser and change the view of the page to 'desktop view'. This is why it's preferable to use a PC. 6.
