Update- Great Ife Decides: I apologize, I never saw the mistake coming - Electoral Chairman

The Great Ife Students' Union Electoral Commission Chairman, Ayebiele Oluwajuedalo has said he never saw the mistake engulfed in the electioneering process coming.


The statement was made in an interview with ACJOAU shortly after the declared inconclusive and cancelation of Faculties of Administration and Social Sciences Students' Union SRC election which was brawled with outburst as earlier reported by OAU KILONSHELE.


Oluwajuedalo who stated he apologize to the "entirety of Great Ife Students" also made known the mistakes were a result of technical error and the screened-out of an aspirant on the ballot papers at Faculty of Education was on the ground of his impeachment from Great Ife Students' Union Judicial Council. 

"The criteria to disqualify or qualify a candidate is a sole responsibility of the Electoral Commission." The Chairman claimed.

He further assures election rerun at both affected faculties (Administration and Social Sciences) at a yet-to-be-announced date 

"I understand their grievances, it is worth their protest. I want to plead to all of them to pardon the Electoral Commission, for sake of that the election has been postponed till later date that will be communicated soon. 

It's a technical issue, I never saw that mistake coming. 

I apologize to entirety of Great Ife Students' Union." said the Electoral Commission Chairman, Ayebiele Oluwajuedalo.

OAU RELEASES FINAL LIST FOR 2017/2018 ADMISSIONS.

Friday, 12th January, 2018. By Olufemi Alfred .O.     In lieu of a recent publication by OAU KILONSHELE about the release of admissions list despite the strike, it has been gathered that Obafemi Awolowo University has submitted the final lists of admitted candidates to the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) on the 10th of January.     However, JAMB has began the uploading of the names on the Caps  section of the website as about 20 students have been confirmed by OAU KILONSHELE  to have been admitted      All candidates (Direct Entry and JAMB applicants)  , awaiting their names should log on to the JAMB website and check if they have been admitted.

OAU ADMISSIONS MERIT LIST UPLOADED ON JAMB WEBSITE.

      Few days ago, OAU KILONSHELE posted the release of Obafemi Awolowo University merit list for 2017/2018 admissions, it has been confirmed that some of the aspirants have seen their names on  JAMB's website.       Admission status can be viewed on the CAPS section of the website.           Below are the step by step procedures to access JAMB CAPS 1. Visit jamb.org.ng/efacility  preferably using a PC or chrome browser on mobile. 2. Login with the credentials( email and password) you created your jamb account with. 3. After successfully logging in, click on the options button ( the button with 3 dash) at the top of the page. 4. You'll see CAPS under the tag 'Admissions'. Click on it and you'll be taken to the CAPS page. 5. If the page only shows 'welcome', do not be discouraged. Just click on options on your mobile's browser and change the view of the page to 'desktop view'. This is why it's preferable to use a PC. 6.
