Leicester City's first loss after four consecutive wins, Lucas Moura's hattrick, Bournemouth winning by five goals, Relegated Fulham showing Everton how to play, Manchester United's unimpressive display, Salah's screamer and Deeney's temper. All these extraordinary events in matchday 34 of The English Premier League.

Leicester City and Newcastle kicked off the first game of match day 34 of the English Premier League. Leicester City had not lost their previous four games recording four wins and Newcastle seemed the last team on earth to rain on their parade but the result at the end of the game proved that the football scripts are written in an absolute shocking manner by the god of football.

Newcastle came out victorious through Ayoze Perez in the 32nd minute. 1-0 was how it ended.

Saturday had Tottenham Hotspur in action against Relegated Huddersfield Town. Harry Kane was lost to injury in the champions' League victory against Manchester City so all eyes were on the wingers to produce something spectacular which they did.

Victor Wanyama opened the lead for the hosts before Lucas Moura made the matchball his after banging in a hattrick on either half of the game. He brought his son unto the pitch to celebrate his first hattrick for Spurs and would have definitely sent a message to his manager as to why he needs to be more involved in first team action after he witnessed fewer minutes from his team.

Tottenham Hotspur were not the only rampant team. Bouremouth made a mess of Brighton and Hove Albion with a five-goal thrashing. Goals from five different players (Dan Gosling,Ryan Fraser,David Brooks,Callum Wilson and Junior Stanislas) helped boost Bournemouth's confidence as they near the end of the season.

Burnley held their survival hopes high with a two-nil win over struggling Cardiff City while Relegated Fulham made sure they go down to the Championship with a bit of pride after beating Everton two-nil with goals from Tom Cairney and Ryan Babel.

Southampton beat wolves by 3-1 in a thrilling encounter while Manchester United beat West Ham in an unconvincing manner with two penalty kicks to win 2-1 and West Ham manager said,if there was VAR (Video Assistant Referee) that his team would have won.

Hold on Manuel, the VAR is coming next season. United Manager,Solksjaer also lamented about the performance of his players and admitted that they were lucky to get away with a win.

Sunday had the mouth-watering fixture between Liverpool and Chelsea. With just a point between Liverpool and Manchester City, Liverpool had their destiny in their own hands against an inconsistent Chelsea side.

A win in this game will take them back to the top of the league and the Liverpool faithfuls were aware. The match had an entertaining first half but no goals. Eden Harzard of Chelsea posed a lot if threats but was quenched by a Liverpool defence that has lost just once all season.

Sadio Mane gave the hosts the lead in the 51st minute after he met a cross from Jordan Henderson. Two minutes later,Mohammed Salah scored an absolute screamer from 25 yards out to beat Kepa in the chelsea goal.

2-0 was how it ended as the battle for the League Title becomes more interesting. Elsewhere,Raheem Sterling scored twice as Manchester City beat Crystal palace 3-1 not ignoring the sublime freekick from Luka milivojevic for Crystal Palace.

Watford and Arsenal drew the curtain for the weekend of bragging rights. Arsenal have a bad stats in their away games and are yet to keep a clean sheet away from home going into the game. The odds were against them and were aware.

It took a minute of hesitation from Ben Foster in the Watford goal to give Arsenal the lead after he failed to clear his lines quick enough until Aubameyang closed in on him to score.

Watford Captain,Troy Deeney was shown a straight red for an elbow on Lucas Torreira which seemed a rather harsh decision from the Referee. One-nil was how it ended at Vicarage Road as all attention is turned to the return leg of the Champions' League Quarter Finals.
