Freshers' series Vox-pop 1: My first surprise on OAU Campus.

Newly admitted students of Obafemi Awolowo University, in an interview with OAU KILONSHELE, have shared the first surprise that greeted them upon resumption.
The freshers' series with five parts is an initiative of OAU KILONSHELE to gather fresh students opinions and experiences on some interesting issues.
This publication will span for five weeks.

"Hummmm, the lecture rooms are my surprise, there are not enough spaces for lectures we stand most times in classes and this the least I expected from the so popular Obafemi Awolowo University. The management really needs to improve on that because it's so bad here"

"Well, it's not really a surprise but it has to do with the lecturers in the department of Zoology, have heard lot of gist about how strict they are but surprisingly most of them turned otherwise especially the Chm 101 lecturer,she is friendly and explains the notes well unlike what I have heard too

"Have not been surprise because I have siblings and I follow them here most times.
Well, that (going to classes) has been worse and sometimes I don't feel like going for the classes.
Everyone struggles to enter the lecture theatre and to get a seat, especially the front seat . Someone even sustained a serious injury last week as a result of the pushing and pushing. Everyone is not organised or composed.
I don't know why the school will admit such a large number of students when they can't provide a conducive environment for learning. It's not expected especially with the popular tag and hype of the school "Great Ife" Oba Awon University.

Not my first time being around here but everything was overwhelming. the only thing I didn't feel good about was the hostel, it's not that conducive as expected.

I was expecting good light and water but it turned out the opposite especially that of the water, I have not taken my bath since morning now, the one we managed to get is not clean at all.
