Meet the OAU Graduate Who Achieved a 4.95 CGPA

Oluwaseun Praise Adefusi, a recent accounting graduate from Obafemi Awolowo University, has achieved a remarkable 4.95 CGPA. Her success reflects her hard work, dedication, and God's grace.


Adefusi developed an interest in management sciences during secondary school and initially considered economics. After taking the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) exams, she found her passion for accounting.


She actively participated in extracurricular activities, including serving as Director of Research 2 in the Tax Club at OAU, gaining skills in taxation and leadership.


Adefusi excelled in competitions like the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) Annual Tax Quiz 2024. Her achievements come from her diligence and commitment to excellence


Her work experience includes internships at SIAO Partners in Lagos, ARM, and Bank of America in London. She also served as Head of Finance at Fort Institute and as a Cowrywise ambassador.


Looking ahead, Adefusi is interested in risk management and values being open to new opportunities. She shared memorable experiences from her undergraduate days, including challenges during exams and the joy of being a panelist during Freshers' Week.


Despite setbacks, Adefusi emphasizes perseverance as key to growth. Her advice to students is to trust God, develop skills, and be ready for opportunities. She expresses gratitude to God, her parents, and everyone who supported her journey.
