Satire: Two weeks of strike, ASUU OAU vs CONUA -The Academic Derby.

Well, it's no news that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) is currently on strike, they are on strike based on the 2009 agreement they signed with the federal government. The agreement which ASUU claimed was enter into because they really love the educational sector and they want to revitalize it. The educational sector loves you too ASUU, keep doing what you're doing!
As Nigerian students in various universities are currently enjoying the strike which is one of the silver linings in attending universities nowadays, I mean that joy of seeing NASU or ASUU pursuing you with sticks, sweet something. It is unfair that OAU students can't relate right now, strike is a welcoming something by Nigerian students, especially when you are in a hell like OAU.
Although, OAU students aren't enjoying the strike but they're having fun too. It is just that they are relying on the referee not to mind the weather. For clarification purpose, OAU ASUU is currently divided as a result of some unsettled differences. The parallel body, Congress of University Academics (CONUA) has a higher percent of academic staff than ASUU and they have made it crystal clear that ASUU is the one who has an issue with the government, not them.
The OAU derby, though not currently intense because we have two teams with opposite tactics. CONUA attacks and make it known that at any attempt gotten, they want to screw ASUU over and like a Pep Guardiola team, they don't care whether ASUU has just one on target. But ASUU on the other way, will not mind a draw. CONUA gets a message that ASUU regrets the action that led to that division and CONUA join them in forming a strong force against the real opposition. Although, like a Jose Mourinho team, ASUU while being pragmatic won't mind if they get a counterattack that will completely shut CONUA up. Brilliant tactics, you say?
But the thing is, the spectators want a 90 minutes end-to-end attacking football but unless ASUU get a lot of boost, we can't get that. Classic Jose. CONUA is making their points, they have gained the attenton, they have made it known that they are no pushover, they have made the spectators known that they can bully the great OAU ASUU but if ASUU decides to attack later in the game like we have seen them do with NASU and government, CONUA will feel the heat. You remember what United did to Chelsea in the 2nd half the last time they met and what an attacking team can do to a Pep Guardiola's team?
However, as a pundit who is watching and analyzing this derby, it is my job to let you know that the weather is not really looking nice. The weather is common sense and sooner or later, it might be stopping this game. It should be said, that the weather almost spoilt the fun on Thursday when mainstream media outfits broke it that the government and ASUU were in a meeting but also broke it that the meeting deadlocked.
General ASUU is trying to score against the government, the government is trying to use power to get a penalty by fake-diving as usual. OAU ASUU has parked the bus against CONUA with the hope of getting a point so they can face the main opposition. The weather is trying to interrupt the match and the stadium is getting crowded. We are just hoping the referee does not pull a Mike Dean.
