LGS Saga: OAU DSA commences investigation on embezzled funds, summon executive members.

The Dean of Students Affairs, Obafemi Awolowo University, Isiaka Aransi, has started an investigation on the allegations of embezzlement leveled against the impeached President of Local Government studies' Association.

This news outfit confirmed that a letter was sent to Akinkunmi Sodiq Opeyemi, the former president of the department who was impeached for embezzlement.

It should be recalled that this news outfit reported how Mr. Sodiq embezzled 565,200 Naira, how it further increased to over 600,000 and how his relatives refunded 100,000 Naira.

However, it was gathered that the summon by the Dean of Students' Affairs after an official report from the department that indicted Mr. Sodiq was submitted to the division.

Also, OAU Kilonshele affirmed from a reliable source that a letter was sent to Mr. Sodiq ordering him to report to the DSA.

"He was summoned from the Vice Chancellor's office in a letter addressed to him to present himself at the DSA before the close of 22nd of November."

It was made known to this news outfit that the DSA has summoned the executive members as well to appear on Monday for questioning.

Speaking with OAU KILONSHELE, Aluko Oluwatimilehin, the Welfare Director of the association, he said "We have been invited to the investigation tomorrow."

Although, when asked on the basis on which they were invited, he said "I don't know the basis on which we were invited."

OAU RELEASES FINAL LIST FOR 2017/2018 ADMISSIONS.

By Olufemi Alfred .O.     In lieu of a recent publication by OAU KILONSHELE about the release of admissions list despite the strike, it has been gathered that Obafemi Awolowo University has submitted the final lists of admitted candidates to the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) on the 10th of January.     However, JAMB has began the uploading of the names on the Caps  section of the website as about 20 students have been confirmed by OAU KILONSHELE  to have been admitted      All candidates (Direct Entry and JAMB applicants)  , awaiting their names should log on to the JAMB website and check if they have been admitted.

OAU ADMISSIONS MERIT LIST UPLOADED ON JAMB WEBSITE.

      Few days ago, OAU KILONSHELE posted the release of Obafemi Awolowo University merit list for 2017/2018 admissions, it has been confirmed that some of the aspirants have seen their names on  JAMB's website.       Admission status can be viewed on the CAPS section of the website.           Below are the step by step procedures to access JAMB CAPS 1. Visit jamb.org.ng/efacility  preferably using a PC or chrome browser on mobile. 2. Login with the credentials( email and password) you created your jamb account with. 3. After successfully logging in, click on the options button ( the button with 3 dash) at the top of the page. 4. You'll see CAPS under the tag 'Admissions'. Click on it and you'll be taken to the CAPS page. 5. If the page only shows 'welcome', do not be discouraged. Just click on options on your mobile's browser and change the view of the page to 'desktop view'. This is why it's preferable to use a PC. 6.
