Ex- Osun governorship aspirant speaks on influence of god-fatherism in politics.

Former governorship aspirant under the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) in the just concluded Osun State gubernatorials, Ayooade Adewepo, has charged students of Obafemi Awolowo University on the influence of god-fatherism in politics
Speaking at a Summit organized by the National Association of Public Administration Students,where he was the keynote speaker of the event He pointed out that Godfatherism should be embraced in politics.
The event was themed "LEADERSHIP AND POLITICS : A bureaucratic facade to economic growth"
Meanwhile, while answering questions, Prince Ayoade Adewopo opined that Godfatherism is cannot be taken away from politics and its highly important we have Godfatherism in politics and also in other aspects of our lives
" I will like to be blunt with you all, the issue of Godfatherism cannot be taken away from politics. We actually need.Its important we have it although the issue we Nigerians that we have a way of giving bad names to good things. Leadership is what we call Godfatherism. As human beings we need leaders who we can learn from, who will tutor us, and show us the right path to follow"
He further gave his opinion on Nigeria education system, when we was asked by a student, who think Nigeria education system is a scam. He believes one of the major reasons for the scam is because the students do not value what paid for.
"Nigeria is only country where we don't want to enjoy the value of what we have paid for. Consider for instance, if your lecturer inform you that there won't be a class today or for a week, as a student you would jump for joy because of the announcement meanwhile you have paid for the service the lecturer has refused to offer you" he said
In his closing remark, he urged the youth at the summit and Nigeria at large to get involved in politics now and not to wait till they are at their old age. He also pointed out that youth involvement in politics should be translated to immediate assumption of political office as some youth think it should be
" I urge you the youth to get involve in politics, I want you to know that involvement in politics does not mean you should contest immediately for a political office but join a political party, attend their ward meetings, learn from the learders who are clearly ahead of you in the political arena, who have seen it all" he stated.
