 With the fragrance of festivity of the induction of Dentistry students in the air, our correspondent in person of Olufemi Alfred went to the power house to inquire about the incessant power supply on campus, which has been one of the trending issue on campus.

   As directed to the office of the Head of the service unit by one of the workers at the power house, the rumour of the Halls of residence being supplied power by generator plant was debunked.
   "We don't even have generators that can power any hall of residence". says the Head of the Service Unit.

  He stated further that the power house has not been responsible for the irregularities in power supply. "We supply what Ibadan gives us". He claims

     Also, he made it known that they repaired the fault in all halls of residence overnight because of students' agitation.

     According to him, the only place with faulty power supply is the secretariat, which they are working on.

     Furthermore, the cause of the absence of water supply in all hostels which has left students in a poor state as some could not attend classes due to lack of water was enquired about which the head of service unit replied by saying that
     "Just like power unit, the water section is battling with the fault from the pump, and they've been working tirelessly on that since yesterday. Go to the dam, you'll see that yourself . Just thank God for the new V.C, because he is a listening type. "

OAU RELEASES FINAL LIST FOR 2017/2018 ADMISSIONS.

Friday, 12th January, 2018. By Olufemi Alfred .O.     In lieu of a recent publication by OAU KILONSHELE about the release of admissions list despite the strike, it has been gathered that Obafemi Awolowo University has submitted the final lists of admitted candidates to the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) on the 10th of January.     However, JAMB has began the uploading of the names on the Caps  section of the website as about 20 students have been confirmed by OAU KILONSHELE  to have been admitted      All candidates (Direct Entry and JAMB applicants)  , awaiting their names should log on to the JAMB website and check if they have been admitted.

OAU ADMISSIONS MERIT LIST UPLOADED ON JAMB WEBSITE.

      Few days ago, OAU KILONSHELE posted the release of Obafemi Awolowo University merit list for 2017/2018 admissions, it has been confirmed that some of the aspirants have seen their names on  JAMB's website.       Admission status can be viewed on the CAPS section of the website.           Below are the step by step procedures to access JAMB CAPS 1. Visit jamb.org.ng/efacility  preferably using a PC or chrome browser on mobile. 2. Login with the credentials( email and password) you created your jamb account with. 3. After successfully logging in, click on the options button ( the button with 3 dash) at the top of the page. 4. You'll see CAPS under the tag 'Admissions'. Click on it and you'll be taken to the CAPS page. 5. If the page only shows 'welcome', do not be discouraged. Just click on options on your mobile's browser and change the view of the page to 'desktop view'. This is why it's preferable to use a PC. 6.
