NASU, SSANU v OAU case gets its verdict in Osogbo

NASU, SSANU v OAU Court saga which was annulled till October 10 got its verdict yesterday.

According to our source and confirmed by a member of NASU, the case which was being presided over in Oshogbo by the Federal High Court has been referred to an Industrial Court for further investigation based on lack of jurisdiction authority by the Federal High court to handle such case.

Taking us back, the court saga is a product of both NASU and SSANU claiming that the governing council that brought in Prof Salami Ayobami as VC was compromised and the evidence of irregularities in the procedures.

The former VC, Tale Omole whose tenure ended on June 24, 2016 had been accused by both Unions of compromising the governing council which led to the dissolution of the council by the Federal Government under the able leadership of President Buhari and the emergence of Prof Anthony Elujoba as acting Vice Chancellor .

OAU RELEASES FINAL LIST FOR 2017/2018 ADMISSIONS.

Friday, 12th January, 2018. By Olufemi Alfred .O.     In lieu of a recent publication by OAU KILONSHELE about the release of admissions list despite the strike, it has been gathered that Obafemi Awolowo University has submitted the final lists of admitted candidates to the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) on the 10th of January.     However, JAMB has began the uploading of the names on the Caps  section of the website as about 20 students have been confirmed by OAU KILONSHELE  to have been admitted      All candidates (Direct Entry and JAMB applicants)  , awaiting their names should log on to the JAMB website and check if they have been admitted.

OAU ADMISSIONS MERIT LIST UPLOADED ON JAMB WEBSITE.

      Few days ago, OAU KILONSHELE posted the release of Obafemi Awolowo University merit list for 2017/2018 admissions, it has been confirmed that some of the aspirants have seen their names on  JAMB's website.       Admission status can be viewed on the CAPS section of the website.           Below are the step by step procedures to access JAMB CAPS 1. Visit jamb.org.ng/efacility  preferably using a PC or chrome browser on mobile. 2. Login with the credentials( email and password) you created your jamb account with. 3. After successfully logging in, click on the options button ( the button with 3 dash) at the top of the page. 4. You'll see CAPS under the tag 'Admissions'. Click on it and you'll be taken to the CAPS page. 5. If the page only shows 'welcome', do not be discouraged. Just click on options on your mobile's browser and change the view of the page to 'desktop view'. This is why it's preferable to use a PC. 6.
