Equal representation a tale for the gods in OAU

As gathered from the communiqué released by the ACJ Correspondents Chapel on the meeting that held between Faculty Representatives and Acting Dean DSA, Dr (Mrs) Akinola on October 4th, 2016 at DSA General Office, the elected Representatives from Faculty of Social Science were evicted with the assistance of security personnel.

The reason for this humiliation of the generality of Social Science students by the Acting Dean, Dean was based on the fact that the Faculty did not re-conduct their election on 15th of September as directed by the acting Dean due to reports of misconducts in the first concluded faculties' elections.

As gathered by Oau Kilonshele, Faculty of Social Science did not abide by the Acting Dean's directive because they believed the election that brought in their representatives was free and fair thereby leading to their enforced vacation from the meeting.

The reason for the Faculty Representatives idea brought by Acting Dean was to have equal representation in the process of uplifting the ban on the Students' Union activities. But the eviction of Social Sciences representatives beg to differ that the students are equally represented in to be soon converted Electoral Commissioners and Petitioners.

OAU RELEASES FINAL LIST FOR 2017/2018 ADMISSIONS.

Friday, 12th January, 2018. By Olufemi Alfred .O.     In lieu of a recent publication by OAU KILONSHELE about the release of admissions list despite the strike, it has been gathered that Obafemi Awolowo University has submitted the final lists of admitted candidates to the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) on the 10th of January.     However, JAMB has began the uploading of the names on the Caps  section of the website as about 20 students have been confirmed by OAU KILONSHELE  to have been admitted      All candidates (Direct Entry and JAMB applicants)  , awaiting their names should log on to the JAMB website and check if they have been admitted.

OAU ADMISSIONS MERIT LIST UPLOADED ON JAMB WEBSITE.

      Few days ago, OAU KILONSHELE posted the release of Obafemi Awolowo University merit list for 2017/2018 admissions, it has been confirmed that some of the aspirants have seen their names on  JAMB's website.       Admission status can be viewed on the CAPS section of the website.           Below are the step by step procedures to access JAMB CAPS 1. Visit jamb.org.ng/efacility  preferably using a PC or chrome browser on mobile. 2. Login with the credentials( email and password) you created your jamb account with. 3. After successfully logging in, click on the options button ( the button with 3 dash) at the top of the page. 4. You'll see CAPS under the tag 'Admissions'. Click on it and you'll be taken to the CAPS page. 5. If the page only shows 'welcome', do not be discouraged. Just click on options on your mobile's browser and change the view of the page to 'desktop view'. This is why it's preferable to use a PC. 6.
