  The CEO of Global analytics, Tope Fasua In the 5th Annual Economic Conference hosted by the department of Economics, Obafemi Awolowo University challenged youths to change their lives to a better one so as to effect a great change in the world at large.
   

  In the heat of the lecture, he introduced a book titled "the  truth of Africa" saying;  "Africa is the most explore and documented economic country.The first refiner is John Rockefeller, he refined kerosene in 1800. During the world of Rockefeller, cars were making use of petrol."

He continued by mentioning the resources that is bestowed on Nigeria and their usage in comparison to the economic state of  The United States of America that produces 8.9millon barrels of crude oil as at 2016 by using trade oil.

Furthermore, he emphasized the role of information and technology in relevance to economics as the conference' topic is THE PROSPECT FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN AFRICA ;THE ROLE OF TECHNOLOGY AND FINANCE.
"An economist who is informed can enslave many." he noted

Also, speaking at the educative programme, were Paul Alaje, the CEO of SPM Professionals and Dolapo Oni,the Head of Energy Research, Ecobank Group.

  Economists from different places were present and students of the department of Economics from different Nigerian  universities ; Kwara State University,  Redeemers' University and some others filled the Oduduwa Hall that was the venue for the memorable and impactful event.

OAU RELEASES FINAL LIST FOR 2017/2018 ADMISSIONS.

Friday, 12th January, 2018. By Olufemi Alfred .O.     In lieu of a recent publication by OAU KILONSHELE about the release of admissions list despite the strike, it has been gathered that Obafemi Awolowo University has submitted the final lists of admitted candidates to the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) on the 10th of January.     However, JAMB has began the uploading of the names on the Caps  section of the website as about 20 students have been confirmed by OAU KILONSHELE  to have been admitted      All candidates (Direct Entry and JAMB applicants)  , awaiting their names should log on to the JAMB website and check if they have been admitted.

OAU ADMISSIONS MERIT LIST UPLOADED ON JAMB WEBSITE.

      Few days ago, OAU KILONSHELE posted the release of Obafemi Awolowo University merit list for 2017/2018 admissions, it has been confirmed that some of the aspirants have seen their names on  JAMB's website.       Admission status can be viewed on the CAPS section of the website.           Below are the step by step procedures to access JAMB CAPS 1. Visit jamb.org.ng/efacility  preferably using a PC or chrome browser on mobile. 2. Login with the credentials( email and password) you created your jamb account with. 3. After successfully logging in, click on the options button ( the button with 3 dash) at the top of the page. 4. You'll see CAPS under the tag 'Admissions'. Click on it and you'll be taken to the CAPS page. 5. If the page only shows 'welcome', do not be discouraged. Just click on options on your mobile's browser and change the view of the page to 'desktop view'. This is why it's preferable to use a PC. 6.
